Further Crimes of the $cientologists
11th-Jun-2006 04:35 pm
$cientology is now sponsoring a NASCAR driver:

Kenton Gray will drive for the Dianetics team. He credits the book with helping him become a better race car driver.

The team won't be racing in the Nextel Cup just yet. Reports show they'll first start out in a smaller circuit.

Scientology is the religion Tom Cruise follows. Cruise also starred in the 1990 racing movie, Days of Thunder.

Meanwhile, failing actor and couch-jumping $cientology spokesman with ADHD Tom Cruise has invited Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to the so-called church.

Not that I care all that much. $cientology's attempt to become a major world religion is doomed to failure, in my opinion. I only mention this because I don't have anything better to talk about at the moment but I don't want this journal to lie fallow.

I'd be highly surprised if either of them take up the offer. Jolie is a pretty hard-core Objectivist, and Pitt is of good, solid Missouri country stock, neither of which lend themselves to readily adopting that kind of hocus-pocus in anything but a cynical, career-furthering way. Even that might be pushing it.

I dunno if Pitt's Missouri upbringing will matter much to be honest. It's not like he lives here in Missouri any longer. No, he's hanging out in Hollyweird now. Has been for decades. And besides, Missouri has many different pockets of cult activity. I've met a lot of weird people here in my time.

When Madonna introduced Britney, Christina Aguilera, and even PARIS HILTON to Kabbalah and got them to wear the stupid bracelets, I was convinced that the Hollywood trend shouldn't be taken seriously. Who would seriously believe someone of Paris Hilton's nature is serious about religion?

The "Dianetics team." That just sounds stupid. L. Ron Hubbard was not a hero. He wasn't the first to become an Eagle Scout in the history of the Boy Scouts. His legacy is nothing but lies. Scientology is a farce. End of story.

Pretty much, Randy.

I wonder how they can possibly expect to win any races when both the driver of the car and the car itself will have to be e-metered and checked for thetans every single pitstop.

And as far as Tom Cruise is concerned, given the dismal performance of his last film and the fact that the studios are tired of him hijacking their PR machine to promote his religion, I don't think we'll be seeing too much more of him.

Gah hahahaha! Nice one. XD

Oh, I sincerely hope you're right.
